Tam Tao
Tam Tao is a village in Phu Lam commune, Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province, a village with a long history of Kinh Bac. Tam Tao people are always proud of being a village with the longest history, and are proud because this place also keeps many memories of famous people of the Ly dynasty who had merits to support King Ly Cong Uan's founding. to a golden dynasty in the nation's history. Tam Dao village festival is held on the 10th day of the second lunar month every year, to celebrate the birthday of Mr and Mrs Tran Quy, whose grandfather helped King Ly Cong Uan escape from the Le dynasty. This is the biggest festival of the year for Tam Tao people.
The village festival takes place on February 10th, is organized by the villagers on a large scale, thoughtfully, and usually lasts for three days, with many unique rituals, the book procession is solemnly celebrated.
Along with the sacrifice, many folk games are held such as water puppetry, fairy swing, human chess, cloth weaving contest, catching cockroaches in jars, wrestling, cheo singing, quan ho singing, and tuong performance. Tam Tao festival is a big festival, attracting local people and tourists from all over the world to attend. Especially during the festival, Tam Tao villagers are welcome to receive distinguished guests related to the Ly dynasty.
